His entrepreneurial spirit led him to the acquisition of Disc-N-Tapes in Muskegon, MI, which he successfully owned and operated for 11 years. This hands-on experience provided him with invaluable insights into business operations and customer relations, shaping his approach to real estate.

In 1991, Steve took a significant step in his career by joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Michigan Real Estate, formerly known as Prudential Fase Realty. Here, he not only excelled in real estate sales and management but also forged strong connections with key players in the industry.
